During the warm periods you can remove both layers, open the front airvent intakes and rear airvent outlets allowing air to create a continuous flow in the interspace so that it can lower and maintain body temperature: this way you get a lightweight and breathable garment that still provides protection and safety features.
During the middle seasons you can choose to use only one of the two layers according to weather and temperature.
