Meraklon is the name of the fiber obtained from isotactic polypropylene, discovered in 1954 from Italian Giulio Natta, for that discovery, was awarded the 1963 Nobel Prize for chemistry.
The fabric Meraklon allows the evaporation of heat and sweat, leaving them move quickly and smoothly from skin to the next layer of clothing. The layer of air insulation that is warm and is thus created, acts as a thermostat between the skin and the outer clothing.
