Alpinestars product philosophy has been applied to the Supertech M8 cross helmet project, establishing a series of specific objectives: To create the most advanced, protective and performing helmet possible.

Born from the experience of over a decade of worldwide innovation across the motorsport spectrum and from a project plan led by the best minds in the development of protection The Alpinestars Helmet Development Department specialists have developed the most protective motocross helmet , comfortable and light. The S-M8 shell has been designed giving priority to performance and with a design that identifies the line of the helmet and its sculpted surface as unmistakably "Alpinestars".

- Cross helmet
- Composite fiber shell: unidirectional carbon composite with an aramid layer that gives considerable radial force around the shell, avoiding compression but allowing controlled deflection to reduce the impact energy transmitted and provide fundamental protection from penetration. Energy spreads more widely and is better absorbed by the EPS liner for highly effective impact protection.
- Performance on linear and oblique impacts well above the current regulations for helmets.
- The helmet is produced with caps of different sizes depending on the proposed size and thus allows to offer a perfect proportion between the volume of the helmet and the size of the motorcyclist, while maintaining the degree of protection and safety.
- Made of multi-density EPS polymers, the impact absorbing layer determines an internal profile of the helmet that absorbs the impact forces dissipated by the outer shell and offers a shape that guarantees a snug and comfortable fit
- Equipped with a patented system to calibrate the helmet exactly according to the rider's preferences in terms of height and angle on the head.
- Peak attached to the helmet shell with a patented system that will allow easy release in the event of an accident
- Flared base to offer a relief section, with the lower profile raised so as not to touch the collarbone.
- The chin guard is made of polypropylene which, by allowing a certain angle of lateral flexion, further improves the impact protection on the collarbone.
- Post-impact protective mechanisms with Multi-Directional Impact Protection System: MIPS. Designed to reduce the rotational energies that impact on the helmet causing the transmission of harmful rotating forces through the application of a slippery layer between the padding layer and the shell in multidensity impact-absorbing polymers
- Emergency Release System (ERS): The cheek pad can be removed quickly and safely, with the helmet still on the rider's head, to facilitate helmet removal by medical and support personnel.
- Designed to allow the insertion in the shell, in the crown area, of an 'Eject' inflation system that allows the removal of the emergency helmet without load on the spine.
- Chin-Strap: Wider than required by certification (26mm) for greater comfort, made of polymeric fabric to be soft and offer greater safety on the double ring.
- Weight 1300g for size Medium (ECE).
- Excellent ventilation system that determines a precise flow in the helmet over and around the rider's head, improving comfort and reducing thermal stress in extreme conditions. The visor design and the interior structure are also an integral part of the ventilation system, being designed to channel the air and concentrate the flow in the shell.
- Removable and washable interior made of antibacterial cool-max for long-lasting freshness, and quick drying between sessions on the track.
- Additional 5mm thick cheek plates for a tighter fit available separately.
